Foster, Adoption & Kinship Care

Foster Care and Adoption

You must be at least 18 years of age to be an approved foster or adoptive parent.  The process is the same to obtain a foster care license or an adoptive license. These can be done in conjunction with one another.  Please contact Lisa A Peake @ 419-949-2604 or Shelbie Wiseman at (419) 949-2614 if you are interested in becoming a foster and/or adoptive parent or would like to get more information about becoming a foster or adoptive parent. Kinship Care
Sometimes relatives or family friends care for children when their parents are unable to care for them.  Kinship care can occur with or without child welfare agency involvement.  To learn more about the services available for kinship caregivers, click on the above link.
